Do I have to use Wix Payments?

It's the simplest choice because everything lives in one dashboard, but Wix also lets you connect other providers, like a PayPal account you already have. I recommend Wix Payments for most small businesses.

Why can't you set this up for me?

Because it needs your ID, your date of birth and your bank account, and that information should only ever be entered by you. It also keeps your money and your payment account fully in your name.

Can I take payments before my site is in my account?

Set up payments once your site is in your own Wix account so payouts go to your bank. If you're on 3 monthly payments and need to take payments sooner, let me know and we'll plan it together.

Why haven't I received my first payout?

Usually your account is still being verified or Wix is waiting on a document. Check your email and your Wix Payments dashboard for any requests, and remember the first payout takes about a week.

What about sales tax?

Wix can add sales tax at checkout. Your tax setup depends on your business and location, so check with your accountant about what you need to collect, then turn it on in your dashboard's tax settings.
